These days, so many politicians try their very best to give all they can to extremely rich people, which is nothing new, as we hear in ‘Bill Nye’s Appeal in Behalf of Vanderbilt’ from 1884. By the way, The Vanderbilt’s Biltmore Mansion was being built just a stone’s throw away from Nye’s home in Asheville, NC, and he often commented and made ‘neighborly’ suggestions.
