Alden’s 1888 book, ‘A New Robinson Crusoe.’ This is the story of a sailor who gets shipwrecked with Robinson Crusoe’s pain-in-the-neck Grandson, who wants to do everything the way his Grandfather did. In Chapter Thirteen, Mr. Crusoe gets extremely sick, and Michael the Sailor tries every medicine he can get his hands on to cure him.
