Weekly Update May 3, 2020 Hello VAPA Community! This is Dr. Trimis with a few announcements! ¡Hola Comunidad de VAPA! Este es el Dr. Trimis con algunos anuncios!   We are continuing teaching and learning online this week as I hope to continue to answer questions and provide more support for our students as well as the teachers who teach them. This week we celebrate National Teachers Week with National Teachers Day being Tuesday. Please give a shout-out or a thank you to your teachers this week! One of my early mentors in education, in the classroom and as a school leader, was Jon Liechty, the first principal I worked with as a full-time teacher at Berendo Middle School  in the 80’s. Mr. Liechty always said, whenever he got the chance, that the classroom teacher is the most important person that works for the school district because their reach is far and the impact they make on kids’ lives on a daily basis is more than anyone else in our educational system.
