Transformation Sequence

We begin an epic multi-part review of Neon Genesis Evangelion, one of the most influential TV shows of all time, with special guest Jennifer Cheek. Shinji Ikari arrives in Tokyo-3 and is quickly forced into being a pilot for a giant humanoid monster known as an Evangelion, battling against strange creatures known as "Angels" With his fellow pilots Rei Ayanami and Asuka Langly Soryu, Shinji searches for a reason for his existence in a world that appears to want him dead and/or deeply unhappy.
