Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Celebration Community Event Santa Rosa High School Auditorium Sunday, January 20th, 2019 @ 7:00 pm On Christmas Day many celebrate a man known as the Prince of Peace. On Sunday, January 20, there will be a celebration of the birthday and legacy of a more recent Prince of Peace and Justice, Martin Luther King, Jr. It's the annual event to unite the community to honor the activism of Dr. King and the Civil Rights and Anti-War movement. Doors open 6:30 pm, Program begins at 7. Keynote Speaker: Morris Turner, advocate for youth Performances by: MC Radioactive (positive Hip Hop) Prayer Chapel Singers Adam Ivy Ballet Folklorico Jazmin (Folkloric dance) Tina Rogers, spoken word Student Presentations Youth Art Contest and Awards Presented by the Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Celebration Committee Admission is free.
