Over the last decade, oddCouple has supplanted himself as a staple in Chicago music. Producing for, and collaborating with artists such as Chance The Rapper, Joey Purp, Noname, Saba, to name a few — the savvy composer has created a sound as unique as his persona. In 2016, he released his debut LP, Liberation, to an overwhelmingly positive critical and fan reception. The project was described as "a varied affair with jazz, gospel, neo-soul, trap, boom-bap, traditional R&B, and blues oscillating in energy." That same year, oddCouple served as executive producer for Jamila Woods' debut album, HEAVN — hailed as one of the “50 Best Albums of 2016” by Pitchfork and NPR Music, and one of Rolling Stone’s “20 Best R&B Albums of 2016”.
