Main Idea // God is not responsible for the temptation that occurs during your trials. Take responsibility for the active killing of your old desires and the cultivating of new desires that are brought forth in Christ. Point 1 // God cannot be tempted nor is he interested in tempting people. Point 2 // We are tempted when we allow our deep desires for stuff to rule us. Point 3 // When we give in to our deep desires for stuff the ultimate end is death. Point 4 // God is actually responsible for the good gifts, including the new birth experience.
