Synopsis

An idea popped into my head the other day, upon reading an email by a composer, Brian Field. He had done a version of "In The Bleak Midwinter" but called it by Christina Rossetti's actual poem name, "A Christmas Carol" and it was quite nice, but the divisis and various other aspects of the piece, also considering the rushed time frame made it difficult to spring upon my volunteer choir at my Lutheran church job with enough time. SO----voila! I have a podcast which is just recorded performances, and great music for the sake of great music, so why don't I do it on that? So I did. Additionally I figured, if I was going out of my way to do this recently composed piece and it was difficult, why don't I juxtapose this with other ridiculously hard Christmas pieces and recently written works? So here you have the program.* denotes their video is shown on screenOpening remarksShepherd's Pipe Carol-John Rutter*Soprano: Katrina verse 1 and 2, Kathleen Monson Verse 3, 4, verse 5 (video just switches to Kathleen at the mi
