Throughout my life, I have benefited from self-directed learning. Skills I have brought to my work have in a large part been developed through a self-directed learning journey. With a rapidly changing world, everyone needs to develop skills to stay current. Those who do not continue to learn and adapt will be left behind. The challenge is to transform students who are dependent upon a teacher or professor into learners who are responsible for their own learning.
