Blacks in America are being hit by COVID-19 three times more than Whites. With the Coronavirus attacking and killing African-Americans at an alarming rate, I had to know why - especially with April being National Minority Health Awareness Month. Dr. Columbus Batiste, the Division Chief of Cardiology at Kaiser Permanente, gives us some insights as to why this deadly virus is devastating the Black community. The Healthy Heart Doc also points out that while the Coronavirus has exposed America's "dirty little secret," it's also a critical wake up for the minority community to change it's approach to eating, exercise and prioritizing good health.
