This week, we revisit our Palm Sunday service from last year, a service led by our children and their production of "The Tale of the Three Trees." Based on an American Folk Tale, this musical tells the Easter Story in a timeless way. Three trees on a mountain dream of what they want to become when they grow up. One dreams of being a treasure chest, another a sailing vessel, and the third a sign-post to God. Their wishes come true in the life of Jesus as his Manger, his Fishing Boat, and finally, his Cross. As told through the narration and voices of our children at First Church last year, may this story renew your faith again in Jesus Christ Our Risen Lord.
