Synopsis

An open dialogue about trauma, healing, therapy and the freedom to laugh about without shame with licensed therapist and community activist Mahima Mohan. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist providing counseling and training services. I utilize a feminist therapy perspective with a collaborative, inclusive, and empowering approach to the therapeutic process. Some of my specialties include childhood trauma, sexual assault/violence, LGBTQ+, and adolescent mental health. After obtaining my undergraduate degree in Psychology from University of California, Santa Cruz, I received my Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Long Beach. Throughout my experience as a clinician, I have worked in various settings which involved providing crisis support and advocacy, partnering with community members, and providing education around mental health topics.
