John Crowley - "Chasing Miracles: The Crowley Family Journey of Strength, Hope & Joy"

Informações:

Synopsis

John Crowley's career as a biotech entrepreneur stems from the 1998 diagnosis of two of his children with Pompe disease — a fatal neuromuscular disorder. In 2006, Geeta Anand of The Wall Street Journal chronicled Crowley's story in The Cure: How a Father Raised $100 Million — and Bucked the Medical Establishment — in a Quest to Save His Children. The book inspired the 2010 motion picture "Extraordinary Measures," starring Harrison Ford, Brendan Fraser and Keri Russell. In 1999, Crowley became the founding president of Novazyme Pharmaceuticals, which was developing a novel treatment for Pompe disease. Today, he is president and CEO of Amicus Therapeutics Inc.
