Basically the MILD technique comes down to setting intentions before you go to sleep. As you go to sleep at night just tell yourself and focus on the fact that you are going to have a lucid dream that very night. Next, you can combine this with the Wake Back to Bed (WBTB) method to increase the chances of MILD working. The way this works is basically, wake yourself up during a REM cycle approximately 4.5 hours or 6 hours after initially falling asleep and then, perform the MILD technique as normal. This will greatly increase your chances of having a lucid dream because as you go back to sleep you should enter directly into a lucid dream and carry your intentions to have a lucid dream with you :)
