Synopsis

In episode 3 we sat down with the three research software engineers trying to put focus on quality and sustainability in research software, as well as the increasingly important role of software engineers in modern life science research. The three: Nikolaus Sonnenschein, a Senior Researcher at DTU Biosustain, Kai Blin, also Researcher at DTU Biosustain, as well as our own Head of IT at the Danish National Biobank, Bartlomiej Wilkowski together hosted an unconference on these topics supported by the Novo Nordisk Foundation. The Danish National Biobank is a treasury of science for international health research. It contains 10 million biosamples across an array of diagnostic categories, as well as the Danish Biobank Register that links over 25 million biosamples in Danish biobanks to vast amounts of register information. This podcast will give an insight into some of the amazing research done through the Danish National Biobank and hopefully inspire researchers to utilize this potential in the future.
