Ms. Harris not only lives with Lupus but thrives and provides support an encouragement for others living with this chronic autoimmune disease, living with both systemic and discoid lupus, Harris founded Lupus Detroit to not only provide emotional support but to also assist Lupus Warriors with daily challenges including paying for medicine, rent and other financial expenses. Lupus Detroit is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a gala celebration on May 20, 2017. Despite suffering, two strokes in 2016, Sharon Harris continues to work to help others not just survive bit to thrive and celebrate their lives.
