I was standing, washing dishes, and looking out the kitchen window after a wonderful seven course meal, when I began to feel excruciating pain. This pain was in my lower back, and it radiated below my knees, and down to the calves and ankles of both my legs. This was not only shocking and surprising, but somewhat embarrassing because we had guests for the holiday weekend and I knew I would not be able to fully engage with them.
