What happens when your child encounters someone who is different from them? Do they ask embarrassing or potentially hurtful questions? Do you usher them away as quickly as you can to explain why that wasn’t the right thing to do? For a moment, what if we entertained the idea that perhaps allowing your child to ask questions and interact with people who are different than them could create learning opportunities beyond what we can give them?
