He then left Apple to start Nest, a company that designed a connected thermostat. Google bought Nest for $3.2 billion in 2014. In a conversation with Computer History Museum historian John Markoff, Tony Fadell explores how mobile and internet computing has changed the world in the past decade and what might happen in the next one.
