In his letter, the Apostle Peter addresses his readers using two words - elect and exiles. This reminds us that we are chosen by God, and that we are not yet home - for we are citizens of heaven and He is bringing us home. Although our identity has been radically changed it takes courage and humility to discover the true freedom that accompanies our new identities.
