TEACHING NOTES Main Idea: God does not simply save His people from their enemies; He saves His people from their idols and teaches them to trust the King alone. Micah 5:7 - Like Dew from the Lord God promises that the remnant of Jacob will become a blessing among the nations, like refreshing dew and rain. Micah 5:8-9 - Like a Lion Among the Nations The picture changes from gentle dew to a powerful lion. God's restored people will no longer be helpless before their enemies. God's people can be gentle without being weak and courageous without being cruel. Our confidence comes from our King. Micah 5:10-11 - God Removes False Security God promises to remove Israel's horses, chariots, cities, and strongholds- the things they were tempted to trust instead of Him.
