Truly, God loved the world and gave His only begotten Son to be the propitiation for the sins of the whole world! * As the author is addressing this consummation of the redemptive plan to a Jewish audience in the 1st century, we see a distinctively Jewish emphasis (or reference to the Old Testament). * It is important to also note that there were "Judaizers" entering into the gatherings of the church to draw people back under the law! These individuals were false teachers and leading people into blaspheme.
