Synopsis

Have you ever considered how you will get around town when you are older? You will have medical, dental, and other personal appointments, and you'll need transportation, right?  Nobody wants to feel confined in their home, or place of residence, or feel as though they are constantly having to rely on family members to get to and from their destinations. This is why in Columbia, Maryland they created a wonderful nonprofit called Neighbor Ride! In this Episode Colleen Dumais Konstanzer shares the history behind the development of Neighbor Ride, provides a lot of reasons why this is so important in her community, and speaks honestly about how impactful they've been in improving the lives of Senior Citizens.  Additionally, she speaks to how the volunteers have been the driving force in making the nonprofit run smoothly, and how the volunteers are also positively impacted by the relationships they've formed with the Senior Citizens.
