An Alberta judge in Edmonton decided today Khadr’s 8-year sentence, imposed in 2010, has expired. The former Guantanamo Bay prisoner accused of killing an American soldier in Afghanistan in 2002 has completed his sentence and is now as free as any other Canadian citizen.
