Synopsis
In 1975, 22-year-old Faye Brown and two accomplices participated in a bank robbery in a small town in North Carolina. Just 15 minutes later, one of the accomplices shot a state trooper. At trial, all three defendants were convicted of murder and sentenced to death based on state law. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the case of Faye Brown. She was a bright young girl whose life spiraled downward during high school. She began drinking and using drugs and eventually dropped. Faye Brown didn't shoot Highway Trooper Guy Thomas Davis Jr. in 1975. But she received the same sentence as the man who did. Brown's case brings up a lot of questions that have been debated over the years about the fairness of these types of laws. You can help support the show at patreon.com/truecrimeallthetimeVisit the show's website at truecrimeallthetime.com for contact, merchandise, and donation informationAn Emash Digital productionSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com
