Cabinet has approved the Finance Provision of Access to Cash Infrastructure Bill 2024 which is seeking to guarantee safe and effective access to cash for all citizens. The legislation would put obligations on banks such as ensuring a specified percentage of the population is within no less than five kilometres and no more than 10 kilometres of an ATM.
