Satellite Sisters 09/09/12: Liz and Julie Cover Kids, Dogs and Conventions.

Synopsis

Liz and Julie have had a busy couple of weeks.  What with political conventions, the U S Open, following Mars Rover Curiousity and catching up with all of Seaosn 1 of Homeland, September really snuck up on us. On today's show, Liz explains every new food or snack she's been preparing for her dog Ferris. He was diagnosed with lymphoma last week and he's just not eating enough.  She calls her new ratings system on his health the "squirrelometer".  Find out how that works and how much time she's spending foraging for bologna. Julie's got a tale of her grandaughter Alice's introduction to youth soccer.  Those 5 year olds can get rough.  Alice's mother, Julie's daughter-in-law,  was born and raised in Kyrgyzstan, so this is all new to her, too.  It's going to be quite a season. And much more.  Don't forget to join the Satellite Sisters Facebook Group and follow us at @SatSisters. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
