“LaJé, born and raised on the East Side of Chicago in the South Shore neighborhood, has had a very versatile taste in music growing up. Her exposure to different genres of music is displayed through her music and eclectic. earthy aesthetic. At the age of 8, Laje wrote her first song after getting her feelings hurt by her mom and her passion for writing was born.
