Sunday marks 6 months of the Gaza war. More than 1,200 people , mainly civilians, were killed on October 7th.  600 soldiers have been killed in the fighting , along with some 23,000 residents of Gaza.  More than 100,000 Israelis have been forced to flee their homes from the Gaza periphery and along the northern border. To mark the 6-month anniversary of the Gaza war , KAN's Mark Weiss spoke with Itamar Ya’ar , former Deputy head of the National Security Council, and the head  of Commanders for Israel’s Security, a non-partisan movement of retired senior members of the defense establishment.
