I’ve been thinking a lot on a passage of scripture from John 20:11-18 lately. It says: Having said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing, but she did not know that it was Jesus. Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?” Supposing him to be the gardener, she said to him, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away." All week long I’ve had the thought that it is possible for us to completely miss Jesus, even when He’s been standing right in front of us all along! I’m praying that each of us are able to “see” our Savior as more than a gardener because of the reality of the resurrection! The heartbeat of Church on the Rock is to help people discover how they can LOVE God and LOVE one another, LIVE with passion, purpose and freedom, and LEAD others to this same experience in Jesus.
