Lynne McDonald is an abstract artist who felt the calling to paint later in life. Against all stereotypes of a single mom in the Atlanta suburbs entering her fifties and without training, she reinvented herself into a full-time artist inspiring her audience all to realize, that it’s never too late. Her work can be described as organic, colorful, and moving. Harnessing acrylic paints, brushes, blow torches, and whatever tools are within reach, Lynne crafts her pieces, infusing them with an organic quality. She pulls from her love of water and nature, which can be identified in her evolution, yet she gets great joy in the fact everyone sees something different. Lynne has developed a following and has sold over 400 paintings to date, including pieces all over the world. As a juried artist, she’s had over 15 shows in her short career - 13 of which have been solo. Her work inspires audiences to embrace life on their terms and persist in pursuing their dreams.
