Happy new year! Anthony and David return with special guest Jack Zustiak, writer for Gaming Trend, and they discuss what they played over the holiday break. The first episode of 2024 bursts from the gate with the Xbox Developer Direct. The crew gives their reactions to all the games shown. They all hate the subtitle for Indiana Jones; Avowed looks like a pass; Senua’s Sacrifice: Hellblade II worries David and Jack a little bit; Anthony’s sick of seeing European and Nordic-ish games so often; no one’s interested in Ara: History Untold; and there may be some meat on the bone for Visions of Mana. Jack and Anthony both played Metroidvania’s to start 2024. Jack enjoys Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown (he gave it an 80/100 for Gaming Trend) but finds the platforming too laborious later. Anthony played Momodora: Moonlit Farewell and finds it comparable to peanut butter and jelly. Halo Infinite’s Battle Royale has been allegedly canceled.
