Synopsis

Maria Zeringue talks with quilter and art therapist Ravin Lovett. Ravin carries on her family’s tradition of quilting that goes back 5 generations. She creates bold art quilts that tell stories and also helps others learn about quilting techniques and skills. This year she is a recipient of MAC’s Folk Arts Fellowship grant and recently completed a quilting exhibit entitled “Freedom” at the Smith Robertson Museum in Jackson.
