Remember the library? Books ? Remember having to do research for a term paper. Well not you don’t need to do any of that. With AI platforms like Chat GPT the machines will just do it for you. But at least in the library there was a fiction and non-fiction section. You could easily navigate fact from fiction. Well that’s going to be hard to do when companies like IBM and Microsoft, Facebook and Google start to build in bias into AI. If I want to look up facts I don’t expect an opinion to be spat out by the machine. But remember AI doesn’t spring to life on its own. Humans input the data, and humans can be wrapped up in politics, ideologies and other opinions. Well IBM already has a political leaning so what’s next for the virtual world we all live in.
