Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated disorder (MOGAD) was identified as a distinct demyelinating disease entity only recently. Prior to this characterization of MOGAD, many patients were considered to have a variant of MS, NMOSD, or other neurologic condition.
