In this study on David's life, we uncover key lessons from pivotal moments. Saul, Israel's wavering king, tries to eliminate David, the future anointed king. David's strong sense of identity as God's chosen future ruler is evident. In another episode, David encounters a sleeping Saul. Though urged to harm him, David refrains, aware that God is in charge of rulership. This emphasizes how understanding one's identity provides direction. Just as David's grasp of his identity guided his choices, believers can find purpose by recognizing their identity in Christ. Knowing oneself empowers sound decisions.
