Synopsis

Lily is an artist who frequently embeds in research expeditions to remote environments. Her immersive large-scale paintings of bizarre environments and animals aim to transport viewers to these far flung worlds and expose them to new discoveries. Simonson spent three months scuba diving and camping in Antarctica as the 2014-15 National Science Foundation Antarctic Artists and Writers Awardee.
