Synopsis

The Dallas Type interviews Virgil Scott: a seasoned pro turned educator and letterpress printer. I called Virgil Scott on a post-rainy winter morning(which in Texas, can actually be quite nice), and all we could talk about was fire. We talked about the fire behind the passion and intelligence he's seen in the Dallas creative community over the past 3 decades. And we talked about the fire that we still see today. Virgil has been actively engaged in the Dallas creative community since the late 70's when he was at school at UNT with the likes of Peteet and Ford, and is still active today, leading the next generation of designers and professors. Take a listen and you're sure to be inspired. Virgil Scott is partner of Studio 204 located in downtown Arlington, and also leads the undergrad and graduate design program at Texas A&M Commerce in the center of downtown Dallas.
