Jesus teaches that it is possible to know about him with actually knowing him. People can understand the core teachings of Christianity or even possess remarkable spiritual powers, but still not be true disciples of Jesus. According to Jesus, only people who have experienced the New Birth (John 3:3) are true disciples of his. In this teaching, we examine Jesus' huge challenge at the end of his Sermon on the Mount to look at our own relationship to Jesus, and ask ourselves if we resemble true or false disciples.
