Luke 16:9-17 - Just like Jesus got ridiculed by His audience after the parable in Luke 16, the church often gets ridiculed when we talk about money, like that is all the church cares about. But that is definitely true at Crosswinds! One of the reasons why people object to the church preaching about money is because there are some churches that preach a false gospel of prosperity. It is true that you can’t outgive God. If you give to Him, he will give to you much more in return, not necessarily more money, that is prosperity teaching, but rather more eternal blessings.
