Synopsis: Joseph was favoured by his father Jacob which stirred hatred in his envious brothers. They cruelly stripped Joseph of his colourful tunic, threw him in a pit and then sold him as a slave. Whether we find ourselves in a pit by hatred of others, of our own making by sin, of regret and grief, we have hope through the Gospel because we are favoured of our Father in heaven.
