On November, 24th 1971 a man known only as “Dan Cooper” purchased a ticket aboard a Northwest Orient Airlines Boeing 727 flight from Portland International airport to Seattle Tacoma International Airport (SeaTac). The man then proceeded to extort $200 thousand dollars, the modern value of close to $1.3 million dollars and made his way to the rear of the aircraft.
