Synopsis

#JackPandaSpeaks I used to keep a private audio diary on a voice recorder during my travels. I have decided it is time to share my daily process with you all in an audio vlog/podcast format. They call me Panda because I love hugs, I am very black and white, and I have the tendency to see both sides of the coin at once. These audio vlogs are unedited, raw, in the moment feelings and thoughts. They will sometimes take us on an amazing journey, and others will be heady rambles that go no where... but that is the risk of embracing the unknown! My aim is 365 days!

Episodes

  • Not speaking our Truth comes at a Cost!

    03/01/2020 Duration: 10min

Would you consider yourself a people pleaser? In today's episode I use a real life situation to reflect on those times when guilt drives us to make unhealthy decisions, how it can be hard to say no to those we love the most, the positive ripple effect dissent has on those around us, how we can use life as a mirror to grow personally, and how the body speaks louder than us at times. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/jackpandaspeaks/message

Do you find it hard to ask for help? In today's logcast I talk about how reaching out to others for help is one of my missions this year, why we should all be coached in some form or shape, why coaching ourselves is great to start with although less reliable moving forward, and letting go of control in order to expand. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/jackpandaspeaks/message

    31/12/2019 Duration: 10min

Are you looking at committing to some new daily habits in 2020? In today's logcast I reflect on why this coming year embodies the spirit of the panda, how the extremes will be coming into balance and perspective, why grounding ourselves and focusing on less is essential, committing to gentle determination rather than impulsive/emotional highs and lows, and how long term goals can give us a motive to move forward on a daily basis. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/jackpandaspeaks/message

  • Are you on your Growth Edge?

    30/12/2019 Duration: 10min

Do you feel complacent in your life right now or challenged? In today's episode I share with you some insights from a very inspiring conversation I had yesterday with my brother and a friend, how we need to challenge ourselves in order to grow, how growth makes us feel alive, how the fear of hurting or letting others down can so often sway us away from our path, and how the mind will come up with infinite excuses to stop us from growing. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/jackpandaspeaks/message

  • Always Competing Against Myself!

    29/12/2019 Duration: 10min

Do you get influenced easily by those around you? In today's episode I talk about my excitement for my first official 8K Race tomorrow, setting my next running goals for 2020, figuring out whether I prefer road or trail running, how winning in life can have health benefits, and staying centred when receiving guests rather than dropping everything for them. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/jackpandaspeaks/message

  • Making friends with Death!

    27/12/2019 Duration: 10min

Do you live for the present moment or do you have long term goals? In today's episode I reflect on what I felt this morning when I received a message of death, the idea that death restores life, the stillness of death, and finding the balance between living "carpe diem" style as if you were going to die tomorrow, and planning for the future as if you were going to live forever. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/jackpandaspeaks/message

  • Christmas Anxiety is Real!

    22/12/2019 Duration: 10min

Are you feeling the christmas anxiety? In today's episode I reflect on how a time of celebration has become a time of expectations, how we should give each other presence this christmas rather than presents, why embracing "potluck' style dinners at christmas is a great idea, and how we can easily feel guilty if we don't take part in today's Consumerist Christmas Culture. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/jackpandaspeaks/message

    21/12/2019 Duration: 10min

Do you find hard to say NO sometimes? In today's episode I reflect on how easy it is to fall into agreement with the majority, the value of one person's dissent for the collective, the courage it takes to be the odd one out, how constructive feedback after a No can be of great value to the receiver, and the lack of self-respect that comes from constantly saying yes to others out of fear. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/jackpandaspeaks/message

    20/12/2019 Duration: 10min

Are you vegan? In today's episode I go on a rant about vegans promoting fast food and junk food, the delusional idea that something vegan is automatically better than something non-vegan, how corporations adopting the vegan trend does not change their inherent lack of quality standards and environmental ethics, our desire for quantity over quality, and how veganism has become a commercial commodity for the masses. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/jackpandaspeaks/message
