Sometimes our lives can change in a tiny moment. In this study, we see David's life change as an arrow soars above his head. God is refining David and getting him to rely on Him alone and this is what He does in our lives as well.

We all lean on some type of crutch, the question is, "Are we leaning on the right crutch?" In this study, we see God remove begin to remove crutches in David's life, in order to get David to lean only on God alone.

In, 1 Samuel 17, we saw God give David victory over Goliath. In this study, we see the aftermath of a giant killing, the disappointment after victory that we sometimes experience as a believer.

David vs Goliath is an account most people know about and in this study, we will learn some lessons about slaying giants, those things that seem impossible to deal with in our lives...

In this study, we see David's preparation for slaying Goliath. God prepared David for this battle years before and He prepares us for what He has ahead for us in the future...

In this study, we are introduced to David, the man that God says is "a man after My heart". We will begin to see the qualities of his character and what made him quite different than Saul.

In this study, we see Saul not completely obey the command given to him by God, through Samuel and we learn that partial obedience is disobedience. We also see what causes the kingdom to be torn from Saul and we need to learn from Saul's mistakes...

In this study, we see the contrast between the faith of Jonathan (Saul's son) and the foolishness of King Saul. God is looking for people that will step out in faith but if we take matters into our own hands, we often find that we will be quite foolish!

It did not take long for Saul's downfall to begin. In Chapter 14, we see Saul make several mistakes that cause God to remove the kingdom from his hands saying that He was looking for someone that was a man after His heart. Learn from Saul's mistakes and determine to not make them...

In this study, we see Saul pass his first test and we consider the traits that we are to have as believers, especially if we are called to lead. All of us, in some way, are called to lead something (Family, kids, ministry, at work, etc)

In this study, we see Saul get off to a good beginning. He shows some humility, he starts well. That's good and there are lessons for us to learn, but we need to not just start well, but to finish well.

They do it because they want to be like other nations. They did not wait for the king that God was going to give them in David. Many times, we get ahead of God and try and make something happen or we desire to be like the world around us...

For 20 years, the Children of Israel experienced heartache as they let the Ark of God stay in a small town while they were all over the place with their worship of other Gods. Listen to Samuel call them back to holiness, repentance and following the Lord.

We are called to live by faith and have faith but sometimes, we can put our faith in the wrong things. Listen in as we see a prime example!

We need to learn how to hear the voice of the Lord and then respond. In this study, we see Samuel begin to do this and there are lessons we can learn!
