When we humble ourselves we can set the example to others, receive grace and blessing, get help, and be ready for the battle and spiritual attack.

God’s grace allows us to not follow the ways of this world but to set the course of our lives to a greater purpose and calling.

The body of the church has a different way of living. Peter describes this clearly in verse 3:8: unity, sympathy, love, tenderness, humility. Overall, we’re called to bless people even when people come against us.

When we play our roles within society, home, and church we have freedom as we set our hearts to serve. When we serve we actually are more free than demanding to get our own way. This is one of the secrets of the Christian life. As we trust God, He helps us even when we find ourselves in difficult situations.

We may be rejected in our culture but we have a community chosen by the living God.

Lets focus on what God has done the first 5 years of our church. We want to honor God and those who have helped us accomplish the mission God has given us.

We need to take the focus from our circumstance and refocus attention on the attributes of God. God is worthy of our Worship. We were created to Worship Him.

The core of productivity is to know the highest priority for each day and situation and choose to put it first.

Character is the key component in choosing what’s best and doing God’s will versus our own. Good fruit in life flows from having the kind of character that keeps choosing God’s will to bless others.

The way to peace without having everything under control, when there are all kinds of loose ends, the to do list is growing to gargantuan size, when interruptions abound is to keep going to God in prayer.

The only way to be truly productive is to realize we don’t have to be productive. Embracing the truth that God accept us apart from good works is the precise thing that motivates me to excel in good works.

Life from Jesus comes from the lifestyle of Jesus.

How can we truly live an unrushed life? This sermon will look at how busyness and running is a major threat to our spiritual growth and overall I’m well-being. We can run towards things or run away from things and our constant running prevents the right posture and rhythms for lasting spiritual growth.

God made us to make progress in life toward the right things. To pursue rest or productivity in themselves leaves us spinning in circles. He wants to help us be productive by bearing the right kind of fruit as we handle our stewardships..

Trouble can be a real opportunity to learn the most important lessons in life. God wants parents to show their children how to deal with trouble in a way that will brings protection and progress in life. The key to weathering the storms and helping our kids through trouble is to not short-circuit the process of what God wants to do through the trouble.

It’s easy for tension and conflict to be the atmosphere of any home. Left to ourselves, this is the norm. However, with Christ’s help, we can cling to truthing in love.
