  • 1) 2019 Senior School Commencement Service

    11/02/2019 Duration: 15min

This talk is based on 2 Samuel 22:47- "‘The Lord lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be my God, the Rock, my Saviour! King David in 2 Samuel sings a song about his life and at the end, he gives credit to the muscle behind his successes. We ought to be able to identify with David in this verse, for like him we experience victory and success but also turmoil and sadness. In one moment we are full of energy and in another we are exhausted. One day we have plenty while in another day we have little. Our world is ever changing. We are ever changing and things never stay the same.  So as we begin 2019, our college verse should encourage us. For like David, although our life is full of all kinds of commotion, in the end- because of Jesus, we will win through to a period of peace. Yes, God is our rock in our daily grind, but what’s even better is that in Jesus, God has delivered us from the turmoil of sin. In this Bible talk I encourage our college community to to rely on God, our living rock, our saviour. ---
