Take Charge of your Home and Your Life: Decluttering and Organization
05/08/2019 Duration: 47minProfessional organizer and minimalist mama, Christine Teigen talks about how she started living a minimalist life, what triggered it, and what her husband came home to on the day she started purging! This subject hits me close, because with the exception of the occasional purge fest I get maybe once or twice a year, I’m pretty attached to my stuff. I don’t like getting rid of many things because I always say, “what if I need this someday?” Christine has a quick and easy process she runs this exact question through, that I think will help all of us when it comes to the things we have a hard time parting with. Q&A
29/07/2019 Duration: 45minI put the call out in the Wannabe Nation Facebook group, and I gathered your questions about life, mom survival tips, my favorite reads, and more. I had my friend Jamie with me to ask me all the questions so I wouldn’t think too hard about my answers, so what you’re hearing is totally real and unscripted. There was wine, laughing, and as many of my conversations do, it got a little weird. Stay tuned for the bathroom talk near the end. It gets real. Practicing Mindfulness
22/07/2019 Duration: 40minShonda Moralis is a women’s mindful empowerment coach, speaker, and psychotherapist in private practice. She believes that when women empower themselves and create life balance, they unleash the capability for incredible accomplishments. The author of the award-winning, Breathe, Mama, Breathe: 5-Minute Mindfulness for Busy Moms, Shonda lives in Pennsylvania with her husband and two kids, loves to play outside, and is perennially fascinated by what makes people tick. Her upcoming book, Breathe, Empower, Achieve: 5-Minute Mindfulness for Women Who Do It All is now available for pre-order (The Experiment Publishing, October 2019). One of my favorite parts of this episode is when Shonda talks about what to do when we aren’t enjoying every part of motherhood. You know, when the older lady in the grocery store says ‘enjoy every moment,’ and you feel guilty when you don’t because the kids are screaming and spilling stuff and throwing up on you? How are we supposed to enjoy THAT moment and so, SO many like it? Shon

08/07/2019 Duration: 28minI don’t know a single mother who hasn’t been surprised by some aspect of motherhood. We all read that “what to expect” books, and maybe they (sort of) prepare you for the birth-giving part, but then what do you do with the little tiny human laying in front of you (or on you). We all think - or really, really hope - we know what we’re doing, or that instinct will somehow kick in - and many times it does - but today I’m talking about ten surprises of motherhood I’ve had along the way, and what no one really tells you before you’re just in the trenches. I think you’ll relate to at least a couple…I’m even slippin’ one of my birth stories in there.
