This week we are joined by one of Canada's greatest Dave Merheje. He has made multiple appearances at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, Winnipeg Comedy Festival, JFL42 in Toronto, the Halifax Comedy Festival, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in Australia, and tours clubs and theatres regularly. He just released his comedy special “Good Friend Bad Grammar” which is available on Vimeo on Demand and Amazon Prime, and he recently shot a half hour special for Netflix which will be released in early 2019.

He is a NYC-based comic who has been featured on Fox’s Good Day New York. He produces a monthly stand-up showcase called Giggles N’ Cream which was listed in Timeout as one of the best free comedy shows in NYC. This is a special episode where Justin and I talked about the issue of depression and share our thoughts/opinions on this matter based on the tragic death of legendary Anthony Bourdain. The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) suggests that approximately 16 million of American adults had at least one major depressive episode in 2012. Also, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), 350 million people worldwide suffer from depression. It is time for all of us to recognize this problem and work toward finding plausible solutions.
