Where Entrepreneurs Come to Grow

  • Donald Trump is back. She's here she's there she's everywhere, and maybe hearing is everything!

    06/03/2024 Duration: 20min

Well the guy who wrote the Art of the Deal is back in the game... And one of the reasons for that is he knows some things about business and the power of the media that most people don't and you whether you like him or not can learn something about is success and his comeback. Then let me tell you one of the secrets of a very successful business woman who knew what to do in order to build a successful entrepreneurial business... And you can learn something from the story of my good friend.   And by the way this is National Hearing day.  I didn't know anything about that and still don't know very much but it got me to thinking about the fact that hearing might be everything because it is certainly something very important, and that's why you need to learn the art of podcasting! Thanks Stan

  • My dear grandmother yelled at me and it changed my life forever! - a transformation story with my friend Bob Bose Bell

    01/03/2024 Duration: 15min

This truly is one of the strangest stories about life and careers that I have ever heard.  Yes, my friend Bob has a very successful career in which he does what he loves to do every day and it all began when his grandmother yelled at him as he was watching a television program. I tell you this will be one of the most unusual transformative stories ever but it has a lot of lessons and you need to take time this weekend to listen to it and think about it a lot.   We often say an interesting ideas you learn more here by accident than most places by design and the day it happens again. Thank you for listening and then sharing your own transformation story. Stan

  • An interesting ideas Special Program with Steven Lear back from Israel with stories, thoughts and wishes

    01/03/2024 Duration: 13min

"Steve we have to hear your story! " That's what I recently said to my friend Steven Lear when I found out that he had just recently returned on a trip from Israel.  Steve and I have known each other for a number of years and I always knew that he was thoughtful and well informed as well as very good at the work he did. I also knew that he was a good teacher even though he probably would not call himself that.  But he is, and whenever something in the Middle East happened, which happens a lot, I knew that if I wanted to understand what was going on that I would not necessarily listen to all the stuff on the news, but that Steve often times knew the real story and perhaps had some ideas about what needs to be done. And now we know that the war continues on and is at a pivot and turning point, so I asked if Steve would take this time to give us some thing to think about, and not just some interesting ideas, but some challenges. That's what he does so please listen. You need to hear this! Thanks Stan

  • Unfortunately most people don't do what they say they are going to do. Is that you? Do you know somebody who doesn't do?

    29/02/2024 Duration: 21min

I love the old cowboy movie about Lonesome Dove ... And there's a line in that film that we all need to hear and learn and do.  So let's take a little time to see if we can improve our life just a little bit and actually see if perhaps we can become one of the few that really do what they say they are going to do. And then of course it's leap year day!  Well do you have any plans to do some leaping this year?  Or are you going to be like most people who stay put, fall back, and merely lean forward.  And I would love to hear from you about some of your leaping that will truly change and maybe even transform your life. Thanks Stan

  • Have you been dealt a Dead Man's Hand at this Lenten time ? Let me tell you a story and play you a song

    25/02/2024 Duration: 20min

At this time of the year the mini millions of us who following the Christian tradition take a special time before the Easter celebration to examine our lives and see if there's things that we should give up, maybe some things we should start up, and very much think about the insecurity of our life and remember that sometimes we just don't know what's gonna happen to us. So I'd like to have a little fun and play one of my favorite songs which deals with the fate of a real tough cowboy who made and had tough times in Deadwood South Dakota.  It was one of those legendary poker games that turned dangerous and eventually deadly. You never know when you've been dealt a bad hand, and so what do you do if you have and what can you change when you can.? Thanks Stan

  • Always leave a picture it's a secret to successful communication success

    23/02/2024 Duration: 17min

You just have to spend the next 20 minutes listening to this program if you finally want to know something about successful leadership and business communication. And I guarantee that there is not one course like this in any MBA program that I know of that's why I often say that an MBA sometimes means mostly bad advice, and in particular in the field of entrepreneurship. Just managing a business that's going in growing can be done by an AI robot but if you're trying to create something and do something significant and bring about a better way of life rather than just creating another better thing you need to know more about what my friend Kevin has to teach you today. So play it smart and listen to his story because you can have all the information in the world but without an image and an incarnation practically nothing of value will happen. This is good stuff! I take that back, it's great wisdom!!

  • Do Manners still Matter today? And on his birthday should we celebrate gentleman George Washington who had a special gift!

    22/02/2024 Duration: 20min

Of course the question should be an obvious yes, but do we really believe in practice that today.  Are you old enough to remember hearing from somebody older than you, "mind your manners." Well this might be a little bit of an old school guy bit of a rant but rent is not necessarily mind in your manners so it's simply some questions, a few suggestions and may be a little bit of some longings for other things from other times, And then there is the stories of Gentlemen George, and so on this day can I take a few moments to talk about a letter of advice that he gave to a young nephew and the letter was worth over $3 million and perhaps the advice he gave was well worth it. I hope this is useful to you and I would love to hear from you about how we can best today mind our manners! Stan

  • Do you want to be great or do you want to be useless. Some thoughts for presidents day just for you!.

    19/02/2024 Duration: 18min

I have a lot of stories to tell you today. You'll enjoy them, at least most of them.  But this Presidents' Day stuff is kind of a funny holiday.  And unfortunately not everybody gets the day off. I certainly don't and most of the people I know don't get it all off but if you are one of those select folks who work for institutions to make sure they get every day off they have coming, you may have the day off. Well are you going to do something useful on this your day off? But this got me thinking about something else and that is the fact that if you want to lead a great insignificant life you might have to go through some very deep water, endure some deep pain get beat up and scarred... Maybe you even have to suffer. Do any of you wanna raise your hand and volunteer to suffer, but could it be that strong and successful lives that are fruitful and profitable and useful will require you to indeed suffer the scars before you can reach the stars and endure the pain and maybe even suffer a lot. Just a challenge fo

  • It's time for a transformation and maybe it's about you!

    16/02/2024 Duration: 12min

As promised my friends on this Friday Interesting Ideas will start a special weekly segment that will talk about "trans formation". Yes that is the kind of transition we need to make, and usually it cannot be a transition, it may be something that is abrupt and strong and vital and right now, or it may be something less intense. But the point is that it is more than a change and it is more than an improvement it is more than a tweaking, transformation is about significant deep change in people, organizations, perhaps communities and could it be in a cup culture in a society itself Here's the introduction to the stories we hope to tell and hopefully you will be a part of our storytime and transition project.

  • The Super Bowl a wonderful victory has become a terrible tragedy!

    15/02/2024 Duration: 17min

Yes it is the news of the day and it will play for a day or two and then unfortunately probably be forgotten. But it is something that we should think about and pray about today. The celebration of the Super Bowl victory in Kansas City has turned into a day and a great tragedy and the tragedy will affect the lives of many people beyond today and perhaps well into eternity. And hundreds of people and politicians will tell you what we need to do now and they don't know what they're talking about. There is not something wrong with our politics, there is something about our culture and our conditions where evil finds a place to abound. It will not be about changing things it may be about something else and so I would like to just offer a few suggestions as to what we might think about and pray about and perhaps take some personal actions for us. There is something else we need to think about and it is the powerful T word

  • Did anyone really win the game? Was it a great performance? Or was it amazing grace, good fortune, or just luck?

    12/02/2024 Duration: 17min

Some of you know I have not been a Super Bowl follower person in fact I've kind of pointed out that there's nothing really very super about it at all.  So when it comes to the Super Bowl I'm a bit of a curmudgeon and may be a little bit of a skeptic and cynic... Remember it's just a football game.  And there are a lot of things going on that are really important and matters of life and death. But now that it is over I really can ask the question because it's a important question for me and perhaps for you too.  Did anyone really win the game, was it was a great game, or did we see an example of amazing Grace, a touch of good fortune, or were the winners just lucky. And there's some hard life lessons there.  So if we want to be thinking and kind and perhaps compassionate human beings in a world where we reward winners and praise their performance, and for those not so successful, we often have other ways of describing them.  You know, they lost, they're broke, they didn't have what it takes. Maybe we can learn

  • Now what do we do! It's not a super weekend because everything is a big mess... Way to go Joe!

    09/02/2024 Duration: 15min

Of course that's what everybody is talking about all throughout this coming Super Bowl weekend is that the President of the United States has committed illegal acts and activities, but nothing is going to happen to him! So what do we do now! With your permission we need to get emotionally unconnected to the mess in our world and perhaps seek ways for us to make away in our world in which we become one of the chosen few who know what they need to do and have you decided what new choices they're going to make to make that adjust changes but be transformed people doing new and powerful things. So that's my super story for this weekend and I thank you for the 15 minutes and I believe it will be worth your time energy and effort and I would love to hear from you about how you are going to transform YOU!

  • Sunday might not be a super day at all but you could learn something super on that day. Let me tell you the stories

    06/02/2024 Duration: 17min

When you really think about it it's kind of a strange day.  It's kind of a made up holiday that has no religious political patriotic or any such significance.  It's another 60 minute football game.  And we have thousands of them all over the country throughout the late summer and early winter.  So why is this such a big deal, and maybe it really isn't very super at all. Well maybe I've aggravated you enough but simply to tell you that maybe we should give it a second thought. But then let me turn it very positive by telling you that from this day you could learn a great deal about how to market and sell your business and how to build your career and your reputation. Maybe you should think about having your own Super Bowl commercial to show to the world just like the multi millionaires, and big businesses do! Let me begin to tell you how to do that because it could be very helpful and profitable for you to know. It might even be just the super idea that you need for right now. Thanks Stan

  • Remember that information really requires incarnation ,,, it really helps if you show up and be seen and heard.

    01/02/2024 Duration: 15min

And after that introduction to the idea may I demonstrate what we're trying to do with the breakout of the the fourth season of the worldwide famous film The Chosen. We are seeking to use the same power of incarnation end of storytelling in video production to show how you can follow the path of the chosen and become a world-class entrepreneur. I t may be for you to participate in and also to become a franchise player and performer and truly become your own entrepreneur. The time is come the time is now, Stan

  • There's pain in the forecast. If that's so then what should we do now!

    31/01/2024 Duration: 13min

Right now there's a certain malaise in the midwinter air and atmosphere.  The usual coldness of the winter season combined with a lot of negative news and numbers of lead people to wonder just about what's going to be in 24. That lead one respected journalist in his industry to begin his column for the day with the news, "There's pain in the forecast,"  He is usually an optimistic thinker and always has a bright and good way to look at things but he did suggest that the immediate future does look a bit painful,  indeed there is pain in the forecast. Because I have some of those same feelings I paid attention to what he said and then here is my attempt to frame a bit of a response that has also come to me that just might be helpful to you as we look at the time ahead of us and perhaps how we can think hope and pray that we can be better than the times that are before us. Again from the twilight zone. Stan

  • Congratulations 0n Catching Covid. Good for you! And have you ever been transformed? You are a transformed person

    28/01/2024 Duration: 17min

Yes I got an upgrade end it wasn't something that I was looking forward to.  Some years ago when I was doing a lot more flying from time to time I would get a upgrade to first class. Unfortunately those days seem to have passed me by,  and the upgrade was very simply that my feeling sick condition was upgraded from cold to Covid. Well that got me to thinking because most things that happen to be in life I try to see them in greater context and see if I can't upgrade them to lessons to learn or perhaps things to appreciate its greater care and intensity. So let's give it a try.  That miserable cold that I've been battling for four or five days is more than that and so the battle goes on but the stakes are higher but I'm in good shape for that I'm grateful and blessed and perhaps you can learn something from my story today. Thanks Stan

  • What do you do when you have a bad cold but you still have to be on the radio?

    25/01/2024 Duration: 15min

Yes and some of you may have heard me on my video cast and now all of you hear me and I don't sound very good, or maybe you think I sound a little bit better, and that's often the way things go. I came back from Arizona with too long plane rides and somewhere in between I must've caught a cold because yesterday it hit me strong and striking.  And so that led to the question what do you do when you have a Thursday program scheduled and you don't have a substitute and you're supposed to be on the radio. Well that reminded me a little bit of some of the things that often times came to me when I was in this situation before. What do you say when you can hardly talk and every time you do it hurts and even after all of that struggle and runny nose and the congestion and chills, how can you perform at your best for your audience. May I share some stories of what often times came to my mind when I was in this kind of situation before because the more I remember it the better my advice is not only for when I have a c

  • Maybe it's time for a little bit more Cowboy Way of thinkin" and an intro to Nashville Cowboy singer Greg Hager

    20/01/2024 Duration: 23min

Well we have just about finished up our week at the historic and delightful White Stallion Ranch in Tucson Arizona.  Not only did we have course enjoy the wonderful weather and all of the things you can do at one of the premier guest ranches in the country... But we also did a bit of business by signing up five new podcast programs that will start this late winter in spring and I know that you'll be interested in almost all of them. And we did what is called The Cowboy Up podcast and recorded an interview while he was on the touring road with Nashville singer Greg Hager. And in our conversation he gave me a line that I had to write down and I had to talk about... You see there are people with a cowboy way of thinkin' and others that are not. And since I'm a fan and a historian and a lover of the Western tradition that got me to thinking about cowboy thinkin... And with your permission I'd like to share some of that thinkin with you and then like to hear from you and what you think. And make sure you go to Gr

  • Still back on the ranch which is a good place in space... And let me help you find good places and Spaces in your life and business starting now

    18/01/2024 Duration: 23min

Guess what, I found even more people who want to be buried on White Stallion Ranch, that's where they want their ashes to lay in the dust or blow in the wind. You see the ranch is a good space to be and many of us who come to this place not only have the adventure of the horse riding, the open skies, the beauty of the mountains and the ruggedness of the Desert, we also find a place it is good for our spirit indeed perhaps for our very soul. And please let me then discuss some thing you need to know that might be helpful for you to have a better life in 24... You need to be looking for, or perhaps creating good Places and Spaces that will help you be at your best, where your mind body and spirit can be addressed, and where you are open to the fact that perhaps the universe just might be on your side. And then you need a place where you can demonstrate your wisdom insight in truth and tell your story.  Because you will never be all you can be until you learn how to tell your story and figure out how your story

  • It's cold out there and please bury my ashes at the White Stallion Ranch ...

    15/01/2024 Duration: 16min

... And maybe it's time for you to have a true inner cowboy experience. I have left some of the places where it's really cold out and it was a nice bright sunshiny day almost shirt sleeves day  in southern Arizona.  And I return to one of my favorite places.  Often when Karen sensed that I was a little bit out of sorts she would say to me, "Stan why don't you just go to the ranch today and maybe even stay overnight." That was not her way I'm just getting me out of the house, which is probably a good thing for her and for me sometime, but you knew that when I went out to the ranch it had a soothing almost spiritual effect on me and I always return in a better frame of mind and spirit. But I'm back but this time it's because I'm going to record the number of brand new podcast on the western tradition and the cowboy legends and lore ... And they also think it helped me to make a decision which I've been thinking about and something that even though I would have no idea about it would please me, So with your perm
