In episode 199, Tony & Eddie start their yearly Christmas adventure with a Netflix original, Jingle Jangle (2020). Is it beautiful? Are the costumes top notch? Is it a vibrant colorful world? Yes. But is it a Christmas movie? Is it a good Christmas movie, if it is one? Find answer/opinions on all that in this week's episode. The boys also sampled two new brews, of course. One heavy IPA from Lavery Brewing and a honey porter from Grist House. If you like a dry bitter IPA or a sweet chocolatey porter - stick around for the beer reviews at the end of the episode.

  • Episode 198: The Man From U.N.C.L.E. (2015) - Southern Tier Brewing & New Trail Brewing

    29/11/2020 Duration: 01h08min

In episode 198, a Patreon Picks episode, Tony & Eddie check out 2015's The Man from U.N.C.L.E. This fast paced, fun and witty movie is a blast to watch. Although Tony started early by calling the movie convoluted, he flip-flopped (nooooo, right?)as the boys gushed about the film for the duration of the hour. There's a lot here that makes this a must watch. But the boys seemed to really love the humor, and speed of the film. They disagreed a bit about how a sequel could or should exist - but ultimately this episode and this movie were a fun ride. The Patreon supporters have also selected the beers for this episode and Eddie samples a Southern Tier favorite, 2XMAS, while Tony has yet another thicc boi beer from New Trail Brewing called Moonlit w/ Vanilla. There's hot takes and deep adoration in these two reviews. Stick around for the beer rating at the end of the episode.

  • (Mini) Episode 197 - Victory Brewing Company & Left Hand Brewing

    22/11/2020 Duration: 01h06s

In this week's episode Tony & Eddie skip out on the film and focus in on the brews. Before they get into the 4th Annual Christmas Extravaganza, they wanted to kick back and just chat. These too beers have heavy holiday vibes (even though Tony says otherwise in his opener). They're big, spicy and ... maybe a bit hit on the show?

  • Episode 196: Prospect (2018)DuClaw Brewing & Founders Brewing Company

    15/11/2020 Duration: 01h04min

In episode 196, Tony & Eddie continue their search for that diamond in the rough Netflix A-list film. Prospect is a short film, turned full length feature, now distributed by Netflix and it's got charm an intrigue in spades. A western sci/fi mashup, chalk full of excellent costume design, beautiful set pieces and a tone you could only describe as dry and foreboding, this movie is truly unique. The boys also sampled new brews from DuClaw and Founders brewing. On imperial stout and one imperial brown, both beers delivery in a big way this week. If you're ready for those heavy winter big boy brews - these could be for you.

    08/11/2020 Duration: 01h12min

This notorious before it was even released film adaptation of one of the longest running productions of all time was a flop upon release. But Tony & Eddie needed to fins out why - and in this week's episode, they sure did. They also sampled beers from Deschutes and New Trail. High ABV and high flavors across the board here. Ironically, both boys chose imperial porters this week - so if you're a fan of smokey roasty notes - stick around for the beer reviews at the end of the episode.

  • (Mini) Episode 194 -BrewDog & Shy Bear Brewing

    01/11/2020 Duration: 55min

For November's mini episode, Tony & Eddie focus on the their truest of loves - beer. Tony gets ready for stout season a little early this week with a 13% ABV stout from Shy Bear Brewing. Although Tony does love a heavy brew, he's got some conflicted thoughts on this very dark and roasty special edition stout. Eddie has a flagship brew from a hugely popular brewery, BrewDog. This insanely fruity IPA was a refreshing break from his streak of Oktoberfest brews this month. If you're more of a fruity IPA person VS a bitter IPA person - this could be the brew for you. For almost no video game talk (a rare thing in a mini) and lots of love for at least one of these featured brews - tune in this week!

  • Episode 193: Shaun of the Dead (2004) - Rusty Rail Brewing & Stone and Modern Times Brewing

    25/10/2020 Duration: 01h05min

In episode 193, this month's Patreon Picks show, viewers selected the film, and the beers. Tony & Eddie sat down to talk about an oldie - but is it still a good? Shaun of the Dead was a resounding success with critics and audiences worldwide back in 2004. It also rose to even more fame after digital/DVD release. As the boys always wonder however, did it stand the test of time? Listen to this week's show to find out. The were also two beers selected for Tony & Eddie to sample this week and the Patreon supporters did well. One Raspberry, vanilla and lactose IPA and one coffee IPA are on deck this week and neither disappoint. If you're getting a little bored with the IPA regular's - these new twists could be what you're looking for.

    18/10/2020 Duration: 01h03min

In episode 192, the spooktober fest continues with Happy Death Day (2017). Is it a thriller? A slasher? Is it just a reimagining of Groundhog Day with some stabbing? Maybe it's all of the above. Tony & Eddie talk through this modern day Murray repeat ritual and they'll let you know what they think. They also sampled beers from Ommegang and New Trail breweries. If you like light and malty lagers, or perhaps you're still on the pumpkin everything train - these brews could be for you. Stick around until the end of the episode to find out.

  • Episode 191: Hocus Pocus(1993)- Troegs Brewing & Duck-Rabbit Brewing Company

    11/10/2020 Duration: 01h08min

In episode 191, Tony & Eddie gather around the cauldron and discuss the spooky, lovable classic, Hocus Pocus (1993). This film is loved by many (except for the critics) and Tony & Eddie had never sat down with the film before (at least in its entirety). Its' fun. It's wholesome. And it's too horny for Tony. Well, SJP's character is anyway. But will it end up in their yearly October rotation? Tune in to find out. They also sampled too extremely solid beers this week. One from Duck-Rabbit Brewing company and one from Troegs Brewing. One Marzen and one heavy Pumpkin ale. If you're still feeling festive - these could be for you.

  • (Mini) Episode 190 - Lavery Brewing Company & 21st Amendment Brewing

    04/10/2020 Duration: 01h07min

In (mini) episode 190. Tony & Eddie skip the film review and focus on what truly matters...beers. Are you an IPA lover? IPA hater? Somehow, if you're either, the boys think you might like an IPA that has...coffee in it? Yes. They're being serious. It may not sound good, but they think you should try. Listen to the episode for more details. The other beer reviewed tonight is more traditional. It's another experience on Eddie's Oktoberfest quest. As Cinefantics know, Eddie is typically looking for a sweeter Marzen when it comes to Oktoberfest brews - so does this one from Lavery come correct? Again, stay tuned until the end of the episode to find out.

The boys also had two new beers this week. One Blackwater Series brew from Southern Tier Brewing Company and one Rye ale from Madison River Brewing Company. There's interests and bold flavor claims in these two brews. One, an Imperial White Stout and the other infused with honey. If that sounds good to you, stick around for the beer reviews at the end of the episode.

  • Episode 188: Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989) - New Trail Brewing & Founders Brewing

    20/09/2020 Duration: 01h09min

In episode 188, another Patreon Picks episode, Tony & Eddie review Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989). With the new film (Bill and Ted Face the Music)out in theaters now, the boys thought they should see what all the fuss was about way back in the 80s. That's right, neither Tony or Eddie had ever seen this cult classic until last week. So what did they think? Does the film stand the test of ... time? Especially for two non-fanboys? Check it out and you shall see! Of course there was two beer reviews too. And Patreon supporters picked some great ones. Two very solid brews this week. One orange creamsicle inspired milkshake IPA and one flavor (and smell) packed golden ale with coffee, chocolate and milk sugar. Stick around until the end of the episode for their full reviews.

  • Episode 187: I'm Thinking of Ending Things - Erie Brewing & Southern Tier Brewing Company

    13/09/2020 Duration: 01h09min

In episode 187, "I'm Thinking of Overthinking Things", Tony & Eddie gather around a heavy, existential wallop of a film - I'm Thinking of Ending Things (2020). Director Charlie Kaufman might not be on everyone's radar. He might not be everyone's cup of tea - but he's certainly a pro at making his visions visceral, poignant and powerful. This movie takes viewers on a ride through a single long night in the narrator's twisted world. There's animated pigs, movies within movies, dance numbers and lots and lots of silence. Driven mostly by weighty dialogue, the sense of dread and tension and finality delivered here are something like you've probably never experienced - but is it something you'd enjoy? Tune in this week as the boys try to figure out just that. Also on the episode, were two new beers of course. One delightfully fruity milkshake IPA from Southern Tier Brewing Company and one powerful rum barrel-aged pumpkin ale from Erie Brewing Company. Listen for the detailed reviews and Untappd ratings of these b

    06/09/2020 Duration: 59min

We don't typically reveal these things in the episode description, but this is kind of an unprecedented event. This week on the show we feature to 5 score brews! This week we've got a new Oktoberfest and an IPA that was inspired by sangria. Yeah - you read that correctly. If you're a beer lover, you do not want to miss this episode.

  • Episode 185: An American Pickle (2020)- Heavy Seas Beer & Northern Brewer Home Brew Kits

    30/08/2020 Duration: 01h19min

In episode 185, "A Real Slupsk of a Pickle", Tony & Eddie review Seth Rogen's new HBO MAX exclusive, An American Pickle (2020). Although it's an interesting take on the accidental time travel troupe (albeit a bit outlandish in deployment), the boys questioned the purpose of the film often. Although there's comedy notes here - nothing seems to land. Although there's heart in the film - nothing seems to permeate. Although there's social commentary on our current struggles with social media - there's no weight. The overwhelming feeling that Tony & Eddie had was that this movie wasn't bad, but they struggled like hell to find reasons why it was good. Of course there were two new beers on deck. Tony had a new brew from a new brewery yet to be featured on the show. His Heavy Seas Golden Ale choice might be great for light beer lovers or those just getting into the craft beer world. Eddie brought a homebrew to the show to sample. A Northern Brewer homebrew kit - Zombie DIRT Citra IPA. If you've ever thought about t

  • Episode 183: Doctor Sleep Number Posturepedic - Zipline Brewing & Dechutes Brewing Company

    16/08/2020 Duration: 01h08min

In episode 183, Tony & Eddie finally check out the longed for The Shining sequel, Doctor Sleep (2019). The Shining is one of the best thrillers of all time. It's loved by many, known by almost all. It's infinitely quotable and there's scenes from that original piece of work echoed, parodied and replicated all throughout the pop culture bubble. So, how could a sequel fill such big shoes? Does it do so successfully or does it squander the hype of its predecessor? All the answers are here, folks. The boys also tried two new beers of course. Tony sampled a new brew from a brewery never before featured on the show called Zipline Brewing Company. Eddie had a new beer from Dechutes Brewing. It was a mix this week - one dark beer and one hazy IPA, so no matter what your tastes - perhaps you should stick around until the end of the episode for these brew reviews.

  • Episode 182: Spamilton - Shy Bear Brewing & Lancaster Brewing Company

    09/08/2020 Duration: 01h06min

In episode 182, Tony & Eddie sit down (finally) to talk about one of the greatest stage productions of all time - now turned film for the Disney+ platform - Hamilton (2020). It was tough for the boys to talk for an hour about something that is just so profoundly good. What else is there to say about this about this play/film that hasn't already been said? Check out this week's episode to find out. Of course there were also two beer reviews this week. Tony sampled a new shake sour from Shy Bear Brewing (is Tony beginning to like sours?!) Eddie sampled a sweet milk stout from Lancaster. Both brews are absolutely worth sticking around for.

  • Episode 180: Heat (1995)- 3 Sheeps Brewing & Voodoo Brewing Company

    26/07/2020 Duration: 01h08min

In episode 180, Tony & Eddie reviewed another movie from the past - Heat (1995). When this movie released, it was on the cutting edge. A heist movie, but with deep character development? Flawed protagonists. Dynamic antagonists. Gray area all around. But how does it hold up in a world where this is now the norm? Does it still pack a punch? How's the dialogue aged? How about the action? Find out in this week's episode. The boys also sampled beers from 3 Sheeps Brewing and Voodoo. Both were IPAs this week so if you're in the full swing of summer like they are on Cinemantics - there may be some new brews for you to seek out.
